A lifelong Floridian caring for Florida ears — in English and Spanish.

Dr. Indira Alvarez earned both her bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and her clinical Doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Florida, graduating with honors. Her clinical training came through residencies with the Department of Veterans Affairs, All Children's Hospital, and private-practice clinics.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (F-AAA) and Board Certified in Audiology. A guest lecturer at the University of South Florida on hearing loss and the effects of aging, she has been published in The Advocate, The Hearing Review, and The Hearing Journal. Her clinical heart is in geriatric aural rehabilitation and tinnitus management.

Dr. Alvarez lives in Ponce Inlet with her husband, their two sons — Adrian and Ben — and Ginger, the family's Welsh Terrier. When she isn't fitting hearing aids, she's sewing, knitting, painting, drawing, or making beach crafts along the same coastline her patients call home.
